RAPESEED CALIBRATION
Rapeseed — is important oil-bearing plant which importance is constantly growing because it is used in bio-diesel production.
Rapeseed is used for production of oil that is used in food, metallurgical, soap, leather and textile industries.
Rapeseed oilcake and schrot – are high-protein concentrated food base for different mixed fodders and premixes.
High and steady growing profitability of rapeseed production, because of its fuel use, results in constant increase of rapeseed sown areas.
That is why our attention was paid to this crop. In 2011 winter rapeseeds of breed „Champion of Ukraine“ have been calibrated on CAD machine, analyzed according to the mass of 1000 seeds, so there were obtained the following results:

Initial sample of rapeseed didn’t meet the standards, because there were seeds of quarantine weed In it – ambrosia – in quantity of 10 psc/kg. High-accuracy calibration of seeds on CAD machine made it possible to get seed material of winter rapeseed where were no quarantine weed seeds (2-nd and 3-rd fractions). Due to this fact rapeseed was brought to standard, and now it can be used for sowing and selling, both to internal and external markets.
